In My Life - Happy Birthday Mom. We played this song for Mom & Dad's 50th wedding anniversary in 2005.
I recently had sent my mother a recording I did of Something by George Harrison and Mom sent me back an email which said...
"I always enjoy the Beatles. Anything by them. I first realized how talented you were when at 13 you played Blackbird. That is hard. Your brother was skiing out west & your sister was in India, and you were playing guitar. A favorite of mine is In My Life, (I love you more)."
Keep in mind, Mom is obviously biased. I'm sure if I played the kitchen sink, she'd find it musical.
I once again took the liberty of making a few changes. I'd like to thank Gina for singing the backs (like usual) and as a nod to my father, I added the harmonica in the intro. He used to love playing the harp. I know we all miss him dearly. |
